THE Hollenbeck Named To MHCC Board Tom Hollenbeck o f Welches was elected as a member of Mt. H ood Comm unity College Board last Thursday. Hollenbeck, 42, a graduate o f Lewis and Clark College was bom and raised in the Portland area. During WW 11 he served in the Navy. H e s a y s he “ has a tremendous interest in the community college and what it stands for.” Hollenbeck has served on the Welches school board since 1946. He was chairman for two consecutive years. TOM HOLLENBECK Road Project Approved A proposed project in Clackamas County involving grad in g, draining basing, paving, and installation o f gu ard rails on the Hogan R oad 6th S treet (Boring’ Section of the Clackamas- Boring Road (FAS 129) was approved Tuesday by the O regon S ta t e H igh w ay Commission. Plans for the 2.13-mile project call for upgrading and improving the alignment o f the existing facility. The improved roadway will have two 12-foot travel lanes with 10-foot shoulders. The State is to make the survey and prepare options fo r n ecessa ry ad d ition al right-of-way. The project is eligible for the use of 1969 Federal-aid Secondary Highway Funds. Faculty members who will replace teachers not returning this fall are as follows: Carl Odin will take over the speech and English classes that were taught by Sarah DeKay last year.
