The Emerick firm submitted a low basic bid of $808,900, Directors of the East Side Area Education District decided to exercise Alternate No. 2, d e ducting $20,800 for use of tllt- up concrete walls tn place id brick. This will result In a contract price of $788,100. Other bidders were: How ard Brewton, Portland, $809,- 987 basic le ss $19,000 on Al ternate $2; Contractors Inc., I’m Hand, $«13,563 basic le ss $14,000 on Alternate 2; and R. A. Gray & Co., Tigard, $827,- 777 basic le ss $8000 on A lter nate 2. Plans call for a single-story, 43,000 - square - foot building providing classroom and shop fa c ilitie s.
