Mr and Mrs. Edward Enloe of Rt. 2, Sandy, report that their home was entered and among the items taken were a 30-06 rifle, a 30-30 rifle, a shot gun, radio, two hunting knives, a hunting hatchet and leather case and miscellaneous items. Someone entered the home of Mrs. Elsie L. Turner of Rt. 2, Boring, she reported, while family members were away on a short trip and took a camera valued at $65 and a metal safe ty deposit box valued at $130, including $65 in cash. If he had any other name it was never known. But ANNUALLY Two of our local boys, Don- aid Boyles, son of Mr. and Mrs. LaVern Boyles, and Don- aid Eri, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Eri, have joined the Coast Guard, on the Buddy plan, and will be in the service four years. They left July 9 by plane for Alameda, Calif, for basic training. They are both graduates of Sandy high ’63. Mrs. Alvin Klinski is recover ing at home from her recent illness, after her stay for a time in the hospital. She was quite ill for several weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Steve Gregus of Gresham are the parents of a new baby boy, named Kevin. The maternal grandmother is Mrs. Bill Breen of Cottrell. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Cook of Sacramento, Calif., were here recently visiting her sisters, Mrs Landon Lee and Mrs. Clarence Griffin. Visiting here from Eureka, Calif., were Mr. and Mrs. James Watkins, son of the Har vey Watkins and brother of Mrs. Ernest Meyer and Mrs. Norval Naas. There were sev eral family gatherings while the visitors were here, and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Meyer took them to The Dalles one day. Spending a few weeks at the Roy Brook home are Nancy and Larry Johnson of Gardena, Calif. Their mother is Roy Brooks' sister. Mr. and Mrs. C. M Jester.
