ll>e Sandy (Ore.) Post Thursday, June is. 1963 (Sec. I) Ziemer Sons Visit Parents Rodney Ziemer, son of Fred die and Zella Ziemer of Route 2. Box 655, and a SL’HS gradu ate in the class of 1957, traveled here with his wife and son, Rodney Deane Ziemer Jr., from Miamisburg. Ohio, where he is chief engineer of WFCJ-FM. Richard Ziemer, who came home from Greenville, S. C., stopped in Ohio, then with Rod ney and his family he went to Detroit to pick up a factory car which was to be delivered to a Seattle dealer. On the way here the party stopped in Oswego, Ill., to see Robert Ziemer, who is taking a 10-day course in op erating (heavy» construction equipment. Robert finished his course June 7, then left for Ohio where he will be with his fiancee. In August he will marry Barbara Blake from New London. The pat ty made other stops in St. Joseph. Michigan, Sioux City, la., and Middleton, Idaho. The trip ended with a pleasant surprise as the party arrived at Freddie Ziemer's Tuesday eve ning, June 4. Long of Fair view were married Saturday night at Immanuel Lutheran church in a double ring cere mony performed by Rev. Wal ter Luedtke. Sharon is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard A. Suc kow of Sandy. She is a grad uate of Sandy high school and Northwestern School of Com merce and has been working as a medical receptionist. The groom is the son of Mrs. Mary Long of Fairview and is a graduate of Corbett high school. He attended Lin field and Portland State col leges. The bride's gown was fash ioned of white taffeta with a chapel train of lace. Her fing ertip veil was held in place by a crown of orange blossoms. The bridesmaids wore floor length gowns of strawberry pink satin. Decorations and flowers were all in white. The bride's sister, Mrs. An drew J. Reeves, Eugene, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Claudia Schwartz, Yachats, Miss LaRae Frank, San Francisco, Calif., and Miss Kathy Smith, Portland. Fred Long of Portland was best man for his brother. Walker of Gresham have announced the marriage of their daughter, Mrs. Greta Abel of Boring, to Otto K. Ourecky of Nampa, Ida., on May 28. June 14. Claims have droped considerably and Sandy claimants are asked to report to the Oregon City of fice at 506 High St. beginning Friday, June 21. For her wedding trip to Ariz ona. Texas and New Mexico the bride chose a white suit with black accessories. The couple will be at home in Portland after June 24. Gresham will be the first home of Mr and Mrs. Lazio Pomazi who were married in Fairview Saturday. June 8. The evening ceremony was per formed by Rev. William C. Hum in the presence of some 300 guests at Smith Memorial Presbyterian church. The bride, the former Janet McCoy, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. T. McCoy of San dy. She has been a resident of Fairview almost all of her life and is a sixth grade teacher at Lynch View school. The groom, who is the son of Mrs Mihalyie Pomazi of Budapest. Hungary, has lived in the Gresham area for six years. He is a wholesale nurs eryman in Sandy. The bride was given in mar riage by her father. She wore a floor - length gown of white lace over white taffeta, which she had made. She carried a white orchid on her white Bible. Judy McCoy wore a laven- dar embroidered dacron-cotton gown and carried a blue daisy for her sister. The bridesmaids, who were dressed in gowns similar to the maid of honor, were Mrs. Wil liam H. McCoy of Pendle ton, the bride s sister-in-law, and Mrs. Wayne Dennis of Portland. Jennifer and Jimmy McCoy of Pendleton, the bride's niece and nephew, were flower girl and ring bearer. The bride's brother, William H. McCoy, was best man. Ush ers were Henry Keller of Fair view and Ross Shaver of San dy. Mrs. William C. Hurn was soloist for the wedding. A reception was given in the church hall by the bride's par ents following the ceremony. The new Mrs. Pomazi wore an orange two - piece dress with beige accessories for trav eling. The couple will be at home at 427 SE Kelly, Gresh am, June 16. They visited Van couver Island, B. C., on their wedding trip. Frances Williams Wed The Sandy Seventh Day Ad ventist church was the scene of the June 3 wedding of Frances Lorraine Williams and James Richard Kilmer, both of whom have been residing at College Place, Wash. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Edith Schoenburg of San dy. Kilmer's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Paul Kilmer of Bel lingham, Wash. Baskets of pink peonies and white gladiolas were comple mented with candelabra on each side for the evening cere mony, which was performed by Elder C. P. Lampson. The bride wore a gown of white satin fashioned with a basque bodice, scooped neckline, long tapered sleeves, an accent of re-embroidered lace and small pearlized buttons and a chaple train. The bride’s mother wore a purple dress with white acces sories. Her flowers were white carnations and baby pink roses. The groom's mother wore a yellow gown with pink rosebuds and white carnations. The bride was given in mar riage by her brother, Chuck Wiliams. Her sister, Cathy Williams, was honor attend ant. Teresa Jo Stiks was flow er girl and Robbie Kilmer ser ved as Bible boy. The bride’s sisters, Mrs. Norma Stiles and Mrs. Leia Dunmire, were bridesmaids Dave Hardwick of Kenni- wick, Wash., was best man, with Bob Kilmer, Mike Minge, Ron Kilmer and Ralph Stiles as ushers Karen Williams and Ken Kil mer were candlelighters. Following the ceremony a re ception was held in the Sandy high school cafetorium. Mrs. Donald Cushman poured, as- Bill Kasner of Sandy took 5th place in Men's Singles with 1065 in the just-completed Tournament of Champions at Milwaukie Bowl. Milwaukie. A total of 42!) bowling teams, including men's, women's, and junior entries, competed in the Tournament of Champions this year and rolled for a record- breaking S6.500 prize fund. All ennants finished either first or second in their respective Oregon hlowling leagues in or der to be eligible for this event. Mr and Mrs Don Dubarko are parents of a baby daugh ter.
