This was the assurance given the Sandy Post Thursday morning by officials of the Oregon State High way Commission in Salem. I State highway officials indicated they expected to receive approx imately $26,000,000 a year for the two main highway systems, 99 and 30. which will be converted into four-way freeways, while an ad ditional $12,000,000 per year will be allotted to other state high way systems within the state. The state will match this latter high way windfall with an additional $4,800,000 per year, making a total of $16,800,000 annually to be spent on state highway systems other than 99 and 30.
