Sorority met at Lloyd’ s Restaurant, Bandon, last Sat urday night fo r Installation of officers and banquet dinner. New o ffice r’ s Installed were pres., Bea Hensley; 2nd vice pres., Bethna Goergen; and rec. sec., Gwen E lls. Those attending the banquet were: Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Hensley, M r. and M rs. Dick Goergen, Mr. and M rs. Alex E lls, Mr. and Mrs. O rris Smith, Mr. and M rs. Glen Wagner, Mr. and M rs. Archie House, Mr. and M rs. Cal Harper, and Mr. and Mrs. Louis F a rrie r. The May meeting of Alpha Psi met May 13 with Linda Hartline hostess at the home of her mother, Mrs. Ada Rose. Glenda McGee was co-hostess. Officers that were not Installed at the banquet were Installed at the meeting. They Included 1st vice pres., Dixie Fisher; treas., Helen Slocum, educat ional director, Thelma Belcher; and corr. sec., Glenda McGee. New committee chairmen were appointed fo r the year as follows: social, Linda Hartline and Thelma Belcher; philan thropic, Norma House, ways and means, Janet Huret; scrap book, Dixie Fisher; Awards, Bonnie Wagner; publicity, Mary F a rrie r; calendar, Bethna Goergen; Jonquil g ir., Francis Smith; and contact, Dolores Harper. Helen Slocum read a thank you note from the Crippled Children’ s Hospital in Eugene fo r a $125 donation. Bonnie, Bea, and Thelma reported on their trip to the convention In Roseburg. The members de cided to send a $25 campershlp to Camp Easter Seal. Orders fo r the Community Calendar are being taken and anyone may place an order by calling Helen Slocum at 348-2478 or Thelma Belcher at 332-4841. HURETS TRAVEL M r. and Mrs. B ill Huret re turned from a two-week tr ip last Saturday. They drove to Chetco, C alif., to v is it relatives, then to Proberta, C alif., to v is it with Rev. and Mrs. Jamie France, on to Reno, Nevada, and then to Washington to v is it friends and relatives.
