The annual staff, and anyone who was interested in working with the annual staff next year, attended an annual workshop at Coos Bay last Saturday af ternoon, from 9 00 a m to t 00 p m At the workshop they learned several techniques of planning »"d arranging an annual. More stu dents are expected to raise this number These w ill come from next year's freshmen l e t t e r m e n hold SWIMMING PARTY The lettermen of Pacific re cently held a swimming party at the North Bend pool. There the firs t stop w ill be the North Rend swimm ing pool Thv w ill then proceed to the skating rin k in Coos Bav, and then on to the bowling alley From the bowling al'.ev they w ill return to Port Orford, where thev w’ l! have an early SOC PANEL VISITS PACIFIC Five students from Southern Oregon College, which is lo cated in Ashland, visited Pa cific Thursday afternoon. The group, consisting of two fresh men. two sophomores, and one jun or, thought that the seniors might consider what someone r,e3r to their own age told them about college They explained m ’ nv things about college life, what domitory life is like, what is to be expected of professors, what college w ill cost, and how very important self-discipline is. After allowing time for ques- tion.ng, me panel divideo toe stn.ors in to groups, which were determined by toe subject fields in which they were in terested. The panel told the students what would be re quired of them if they were to take these various courses. Before they left, the panel asked if they might talk with the freshmen. In a discussion which lasted 10 minutes, the panel told the frosh what courses they should take while they attended high school.
