Just the same, im m ediate steps were taken to sharpen the average soldier's shooting eye. A rm y m arksm anship tra in in g program s un derw ent rad ica l changes that are be lie , ed to have vastly im p roved the capabilities of A m erican soldiers. B u t even changes w ith in the A rm y w e re n 't enough as long as c ity -b re d re cru its entered the service la cking experience in ha nd lin g firearm s.
