These young men are out for a sightseeing trip and a good time. They have a reg ular prairie schooner rigged up on a Sampson truck and are home at any place they can find room to park their car. Taken all In all this short visit will create much friendship between this place and the metropolis of Oiegor. Wheeling, W. Va —Sheriff H H. Du vall and twelve other persons were killed and no less than twenty-five others wounded in a fight at the Standard mine of the Richland Coal company, two miles from Wellsburg, according to a telephone message from Wellsburg. The mine, which has been working on an open shop basis, was reported to have been attacked by a large party of men from over the Pennsylvania line. After the fight they burned the tipple. Governor Morgan has ordered Sheriff Harry Clouse of Ohio county to take charge of the situation. State police and all Ohio county deputies are en route to the scene. Sheriff Clouse, before leaving for the mines, said he had been inform ed that miners were involved in the fight and that they had fired houses at Cliftondale, a mining village nearby.
