Helps to maintain and make minor repairs to the fire station, fire ap- paratus, and emergency response equipment. Participates in training and personal development activities necessary to acquire and maintain the knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of a firefighter in a proficient and safe manner. MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: • High School diploma or GED • Must be 18 years of age • NFPA Firefighter 1 certification • State of Oregon Emergency Medical Technician – Basic Level or higher • Must successfully complete department written exam, oral board, background and medical screening • Valid Oregon driver’s license, or obtain within 30 days of employment WAGE: $34560 first year plus benefits $36000 after successful completion of one year probation.
