Wednesday, August 2, 2017 Effective Wednesday, Portions of Rogue River- Siskiyou National Forest Moves to Extreme Fire Danger As predicted record heat and increasingly dry conditions come to southwest Oregon, the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest is moving to “Extreme” fire danger on the High Cascades, Siskiyou Mountains, and Wild Rivers Ranger Districts. The increase in fire danger is effective at 12:01 a.m. August 2, 2017. Fire danger on the Gold Beach and Powers Ranger Districts remains at “High” at this time. Further information regarding fire danger and current fires on the Rogue River- Siskiyou National Forest can be found at https://www.fs.usda.gov/rogue-siskiyou.
