Charges can be amended or dismissed.) *** Monday, April 10 *A motorist was warned for no front license plate at 11:30 a.m. in a parking lot at 25658 Redwood Hwy. *Anthony Grebisz, 28, was detained at Josephine County Jail for a post-prison supervisory authority warrant. Law enforcement arrested Grebisz at 222 W. Lister St. at 11:54 a.m. *An investigation was conducted in the 100 block of Sanger Lane at 4:25 p.m. *A deputy checked on a house in the 100 block of Caves Hwy. at 4:53 p.m. *At 5:18 p.m. a gal was warned for alcohol consumption in Jubilee Park, so she poured out the remainder of her drink. *There was a group of people at the north end of Jubilee Park at 5:24 p.m., but the deputy decided they were OK. Outside the Valley *Seventeen incidents. Tuesday, April 11 *Ding, dong, bell, a trespasser was in the well shed in the 300 block of McMullen Creek Road at 9:07 a.m. The elderly resident was afraid of his (not so) great-niece because she threatened to burn his house down. A restraining order (RO) was issued a year ago, but it was never served, so another would need to be filed. *Law enforcement located Amanda Jo Briney, 29, in the 600 block of Lakeshore Drive at 10:50 a.m. She was detained at Josephine County Jail on a warrant for failure to appear for possession of meth, and warned for trespass in the 300 block of McMullen Creek Road. *A damsel left her home in the 6100 block of Takilma Road at 2:30 p.m. April 5. When she returned an hour later, her driveway gate was unlocked, and her camera was missing. The Smarson model S-03 plus trail camera was valued at $200. *An apparently intoxicated guy with a full beard stole a large can of beer from a store at 110 Deer Creek Road at 11:14 a.m. The inebriated individual wearing a canvas-colored coat dropped his beer as he walked to his white Ford pickup truck. He was trespassed from the property. *SOS reported an alarm in the 6100 block of Takilma Road at 11:48 a.m. *A deputy gathered information at the Junction Inn at 11:51 a.m. *At 12:25 p.m. a motorist was cited for no operator’s license at the Oregon Caves Chevron. He was warned for failure to signal and no insurance. *Two fugitives were detained at Josephine County Jail following a motor vehicle accident at 12:36 p.m. The duo fled from a green Ford Explorer that was overturned in a ditch near Redwood Hwy. and Ken Rose Lane. Jamie Joanne Newberry, 31, was arrested for a state parole board warrant for abscond. Scott Hicks, 50, was detained for parole violation. *A deputy searched for a camp on Forest Service Road 029 at 2:21 WHERE’S THE ALARM? The volunteers and staff of the p.m. *Law enforcement patrolled near Eight Dollar Mountain at 2:59 p.m. *An individual was served with an RO at 3 p.m. in the 24500 block of Redwood Hwy. *No medical assistance was required at 3:30 p.m. for a motor vehicle accident in the 23600 block of Redwood Hwy., but a tow truck was needed. Outside the Valley *Fourteen situations. Wednesday, April 12 *An unwanted guest may have been in room 125 at the Junction Inn at 9:07 a.m. A trespass letter will be submitted to Josephine County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) to document individuals who are not allowed on the property. *At 12:52 p.m. a little birdie told JCSO that a certain person had an active warrant and lived in the 32000 block of Deer Creek Road. There was no warrant in the law enforcement data system. *A driver in the 1100 block of Caves Hwy. was cited for no operator’s license and failure to carry insurance at 1:06 p.m. *A young woman went for a run with two dogs at 9 a.m., but they had not returned to the 400 block of Raintree Drive at 1:49 p.m. She was wearing leggings, hiking boots, and a fleece vest, and her canine companions were a brown pit-bull mix and a white husky puppy. Three people searched for her until she returned at 2:16 p.m. *A deputy checked on someone near Boundary Avenue and River Street at 4:09 p.m. Tuesday 04/11/2017 REDWOOD HWY / KEN ROSE LN , Traffic Accident 23600 blk REDWOOD HWY, Traffic Accident 600 blk LAKESHORE DR, Medical Assist REDWOOD HWY / AIRPORT DR, Fire Assist to Public Wednesday 04/12/2017 39200 blk REDWOOD HWY, Medical Assist 9900 blk TAKILMA RD, Lift Assist 200 blk MILLIE ST, Medical Assist 500 blk W WATKINS ST, Structure Fire 500 blk SCHUMACHER ST, Medical Assist Friday, April 14 *Thieves broke into locked boxes on a dump truck in the 35200 block of Redwood Hwy. They stole four batteries valued at $1,000, and chains and tie downs worth $1,000. *On April 12, a vehicle was damaged while parked near a church in the 100 block of S. Caves Avenue. It appeared that a crow bar was used to gain entry into the car, but nothing was taken. An incident number was provided for insurance purposes. *Teen-agers living near Sherwood Avenue and Barlow Street were playing music and working on their very loud vehicles all night. This was causing trouble in a neighborhood of primarily elderly residents, so they wanted a deputy to warn the youngsters regarding their behavior. *A concerned citizen requested a welfare check on a friend living in the 400 block of Fir Drive at 4:13 p.m. All was fine at 4:56 p.m. Outside the Valley *Eleven items. Sunday, April 16 *There was a 911 hang-up call from the 5100 block of Holland Loop at 12:45 p.m. *A 911 call from the 100 block of S. Hussey Avenue at 2:42 p.m. was a hip-dial. *A dude on a Honda three- wheeler eluded law enforcement near Kerby Street and Redwood Hwy., but they caught up with him at 2:50 p.m. He was warned for driving with a suspended license, and operation of an off-road vehicle on the highway. Saturday, April 15 *Law enforcement provided COP for an event at Illinois Valley High School at 9:56 a.m. *COP occurred at Jubilee Park at 11:10 a.m. *The driver of a silver-colored Honda was warned for violating the basic rules of the road near the intersection of Redwood Hwy. and Hidden Creek Road at 1:23 p.m. *A passenger in a red Ford van near a playground in Jubilee Park attracted attention when she raised her hand like she wanted to hit a child. She did not actually strike the youngster, but an upset caller reported that she had a warrant at 2:13 p.m. JCSO verified that there were no warrants, but she had previously been trespassed from Jubilee Park.
