Continued from A-7 *When the kook from the 400 block of Piller Place returned for her vehicle at 4:05 p.m., she complained that it was muddy, dented and a window was broken. There was no suspect information or evidence. *W. Watkins Street and S. Kerby Avenue were patrolled at 4:51 p.m. *A driver from Nevada was warned for improper signal at Speedy Mart at 5:17 p.m. Outside the Valley *Twenty items. Wednesday, March 8 *A brown sedan was in the ditch along Jackadel Lane and Dick George Road at 9:49 a.m. *The operator of a red Ford Mustang was cited for no operator’s license and failure to carry proof of insurance on Hwy. 199 and Reeves Creek Road at 12:03 p.m. He was warned for no front license plate, speeding, and failure to carry proof of registration. *A traveler lost his wallet in Las Vegas Feb. 8, but luckily someone found it. Reward money was exchanged, but unfortunately the wallet was never returned to its rightful owner. (What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.) *Law enforcement pulled over a silver-colored GMC pickup truck on Caves Hwy. at Laurel Road at 1:17 p.m. Jeffrey Harasty, 44, was charged with failure to carry and present, and for providing false information to police. He was also cited for failure to carry proof of insurance and improper display. Harasty was cited to appear in lieu of being detained. *A lead-foot was warned for speeding on W. Watkins Street and Hussey Avenue at 2 p.m. *A deputy investigated a silver- colored Lexus with no license plates which was parked on Hussey Avenue at 2:04 p.m. *Two citizens provided information to JCSO at 220 S. Redwood Hwy. at 2:32 p.m. *Law enforcement patrolled Jubilee Park at 3:08 p.m. *Three stoners in a maroon mini- van with a broken back window were smoking pot as they cruised along Redwood Hwy. at 3:45 p.m. One threw a joint out the window, and it landed on the car behind them. (At least they don’t bogart.) *A deputy pulled over a motorist in a black Chevy pickup truck at 102 S. Hussey Avenue at 4:23 p.m. The driver was cited for DWS-V and switched license plates. He was warned for no insurance and failure to carry proof of registration. The bogus license plates were seized. Outside the Valley *Twenty-three entries. Thursday, March 9 * JCSO served a restraining order (RO) and provided move-out supervision at 1:10 p.m. in the 200 block of Dogwood Lane. *Two windows were shot in the JCSO Substation in Cave Junction between 5 p.m. on March 8 and 7:30 a.m. on March 9. (Shots getting real.) *Law enforcement gathered information in the 200 block of Schumacher Street at 1:29 p.m. *A deputy served an RO at 2:30 p.m., then supervised during move-out in the 800 block of Robinson Corner Road. Outside the Valley *Fifteen incidents. Friday, March 10 *Community oriented policing service was provided at Evergreen Elementary School at 9:02 p.m. *A report was filed for first-degree theft for an incident that occurred between Dec. 15-31, 2016 at 213 S. Redwood Hwy. *At 12:15 a.m., a woman returned to the 300 block of Pinewood Way and saw four or five young adults running out of her residence. Her front door was broken, and the hoodlums thrashed her motor home. She has already been given an eviction notice and is looking for a new place. (Try a classified ad in the “I.V. News”?) Outside the Valley *Thirty-three listings. Saturday, March 11 *It seemed suspicious that there was an extension cord running from a Conex container to the old Subway building in the 100 block of S. Redwood Hwy. at 10:18 a.m. People might have been living in the container, but it was empty when CJ Patrol checked it at 2:48 p.m. (Homeless living in the subway, how cliché.) *A deputy patrolled the west side H&R Block 210 W. Lister St. Cave Junction 592-3667 Ted Crocker, LTC Bob Litak, LTC Licensed Tax Consultants B14914 of Eight Dollar Bridge River Access at 1:17 p.m. *Law enforcement made the rounds of Reeves Creek Road at 1:46 p.m. *Four vandals were warned for off- road use and damage near a cemetery on Waldo Road at 2:48 p.m. *Everything was fine when a deputy investigated in the 600 block of Frederick Court at 4:56 p.m. *JCSO patrolled the 5000 block of Westside Road to Finch Road at 5:34 p.m. Outside the Valley * Fourteen items Sunday, March 12 *A deputy had a discussion with someone at 520 W. River Street at 10:50 a.m. *The driver of a white vehicle was warned for speeding on Redwood Hwy. at Gold Canyon Drive at 11:06 a.m. *A deputy was flagged down at 11:17 a.m. at W. Lister Street and S. Hussey Avenue. Jennifer Thomas, 45, was cited to appear for a warrant from GPDPS for failure to appear for second- degree trespass. *Law enforcement inspected the old Subway building at 220 S. Redwood Hwy. at 11:48 a.m. *A traveler from Kansas was warned for no seat belt and failure to carry proof of registration at 11:57 a.m. at 135 S. Redwood Hwy. (Toto, we’re not in Kansas anymore.) *A deputy researched the 200 block of Palmer Street at 12:01 p.m. *At 12:16 p.m. a biker was warned for failure to signal and stop at the intersection of S. Kerby Avenue and Schumacher Street. *A concerned citizen had a chat with a deputy at 12:26 p.m. at Schumacher Street and S. Kerby Avenue. *COP service was provided at 205 W. Watkins Street at 12:37 p.m. *A driver pulled into a driveway at 420 W. River Street at 2:35 p.m., and was warned for failure to obey a traffic control device. Outside the Valley *Ten items.
