Charges can be amended or dismissed.) *** Monday, Dec. 5 *A woman with a misdemeanor warrant phoned Oregon State Police (OSP) at 9:38 a.m. because someone allegedly saw her maroon 1992 Honda Accord being unloaded in the 300 block of N. Sawyer Avenue. The address may have been a meth house that was being auctioned. A black spray-painted truck offloaded her belongings, which included a laptop, a blue suitcase and clothing, a fishing pole, and a turquoise colored crate. Law enforcement did not see the Honda at that residence. *In early August, a family of four started sharing a house with a guy in the 9200 block of Takilma Road. Their housemate had been hired to oversee a medical marijuana crop. As harvest time approached, he began harassing the family, even though they were current on their rent. On Dec. 5, he told them “If you don’t move out today, I will move you out.” He did not specify how he planned to do this, but he had previously threatened to shoot an elderly renter, who ended up in the hospital due to the stress. The tenants reported the menacing behavior at 10:56 a.m. *A student at Illinois Valley High School phoned 911, then hung up at 1:04 p.m. *At 2:17 p.m. a dude was wearing a beanie and carrying a backpack and sleeping bag at the pickup area for the meat plant in the 500 block of W. Watkins Street. Ryan Borth, 32, was detained in Josephine County Jail for a restraining order violation. *A fellow in Brookings felt he was “done wrong” by a gal who misrepresented herself in some way. He was not happy with her, so he contacted Josephine County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) and reported her as an uninsured driver at 2:45 p.m. *Someone reported a highly-impaired driver who was parked in a teal blue Honda on Lakeshore Drive at 2:52 p.m. The 35-year-old motorist was on parole for driving under the influence, and he had disappeared by the time law enforcement arrived. *A screaming, irate patient was causing problems at the Siskiyou Medical Clinic at 3:10 p.m. Her husband broke through the door and threatened one of the doctors because he was upset about something a student doctor told his wife. *There was a black Suzuki Samurai with no license plates near Lakeshore Drive and Reeves Creek Road at 4:28 p.m. Outside the Valley *Twenty-five incidents. Tuesday, Dec. 6 *A Canycom trail carrier, motorized wheelbarrow valued at $7,500 was reported as stolen from Caves Creek Campground at 10:40 a.m. A report was filed for first-degree theft. *On Nov. 19, a shifty shoplifter stole a hand basket full of groceries from Shop Smart. She was caught on video, and identified by her mother and grandmother. A report was filed for second- degree theft, and the shady shopper will be “86’d” from the grocery store. *A resident in the 18000 block of Redwood Hwy. never had a problem leaving garden tools out, until thieves stole $250 worth between Nov. 19-27. A report was filed to help with statistics, along with information regarding several new marijuana grows up Draper Valley Road. *A woman driver pulled out of a driveway too quickly and ended up sideways in a ditch in the 2000 block of Rockydale Road at 12:44 p.m. She refused medical assistance, and she was cited for driving while her license was suspended and driving uninsured. *JCSO assisted at Lorna Byrne Middle School at 1:30 p.m. *A fugitive was taken into custody in the 100 block of S. Old Stage Road at 2:32 p.m. Daniel Lee Smith, Jr., 47, was detained at Josephine County Jail on a failure to appear warrant from Lane County Sheriff Office, charged with contempt of court. Outside the Valley *Eighteen situations. Wednesday, Dec. 7 *A family of three and their puppy were following their GPS from Portland to Willow Creek, Calif. when they ended up stuck on Happy Camp Road, ten miles from the snow park. Search and rescue units escorted them to Cave Junction. (Sometimes road maps beat out technology.) *Even though the registered owner had the keys, a white 2004 Saturn Ion was stolen from the 100 block of N. Redwood Hwy. at 11:02 a.m. *A restraining order violation was reported at 11:43 a.m. in the 100 block of Warren Road. *At 12:16 p.m. a guy in the 100 block of Holton Creek Road was calling a gal names and threatening her life if she didn’t return stolen items. *City employees and a deputy went to a transient camp at the end of Old Stage Road at 1:12 p.m. They located a possibly stolen vehicle, but the registered owner’s belongings were no longer in the car. *After hearing a friend crying and verbal abuse in the background, a concerned citizen requested a welfare check in the 600 block of Sherwood Avenue at 2:42 p.m. *A lass’s beau asked her to come over to his place in the 200 block of Stevenson Street, but his landlord did not want her there. She left at 2:51 p.m., but her boyfriend would not return her car keys because a neighbor told him she took something out of his car. She had nowhere to go, so she walked to the Cave Junction substation to meet with a deputy. There was no crime, she had not been assaulted, and she did not need medical attention, so the disturbance was unfounded. * The landlord and another caller contacted JCSO at 3:32 p.m. because the lost lass was back in the 200 block of Stevenson Street, yelling at her boyfriend. He insisted that he did not have her keys, and that she was just trying to get him evicted. The landlord showed the deputy a notice from 2015 requesting that she be trespassed from that location. Outside the Valley *Twenty entries. Thursday, Dec. 8 *A resident of Azalea was having problems with an ex-business partner on Dec. 7 at 10:30 a.m. in the 10900 block of Caves Hwy. When he arrived to remove his $100,000 worth of property and cash, the ex- partner held a .45-caliber semi- automatic hand gun to his head, and threatened to shoot him in his foot. The Azalean was advised to stay away from the partner and the property until the issue was resolved with his attorney through the courts. The partnership and removal of property is a civil issue. *Interior High Five advised of an alarm at a front gate in the 5000 block of Takilma Road at 9:02 a.m. *There was an accidental 911 call from the 4900 block of Holland Loop at 11:01 a.m. *At 3:09 p.m. a guy wearing an olive-colored hoodie was walking down the street carrying a silver-colored ladder over his shoulder. He wasn’t doing anything wrong, but it seemed suspicious because lately there had been a lot of thefts near N. Old Stage Road and E. River Street. Outside the Valley *Nine incidents. Friday, Dec. 9 *At 11:38 a.m., there was a brown cow with no halter in the middle of Lakeshore Drive, near Redwood Hwy. Earlier there were two goats in the road. Josephine County Animal Control officers jumped into action when the cow reached Redwood Hwy. *A black truck ran into a white vehicle at 4:31 p.m. in the 24300 block of Redwood Hwy. There was no information obtained regarding names or licenses. *An alert landlady in the 200 block of Stevenson Street saw a jerk kick in her tenant’s door at 5 p.m. She yelled at him, and he took off into the woods. He did not seem to be carrying anything when he left, so she secured the door. Outside the Valley *Eleven listings.
