Charges can be amended or dismissed.) *** Monday, Sept. 12 *A chrome-plated 5-shot revolver with an unknown serial number was found in CJ; the firearm was reportedly given to someone during a CJ Patrol April 2. *Nothing was happening at 12:15 p.m. in the 100 block of N. Redwood Hwy. *Josephine County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) conducted a patrol of Jubilee Park at 12:19 p.m. *The driver of a silver-colored Jetta made a quick turn in front of a motorist towing a trailer, nearly causing an accident on N. Redwood Hwy. and W. River Street at 1:49 p.m. Outside the Valley *Twenty-three calls. Tuesday, Sept. 13 *Normal talking and shuffling movements were the only sounds heard from a 911 call from the 300 block of Reagor Lane at 9:35 a.m. *Investigation continued in the 2400 block of Westside Road at 10:47 a.m. *A tenant in a trailer park in the 24500 block of Redwood Hwy. was quite irritated with neighbors who have loud, noisy fights at 4 a.m. The last occasion was Aug. 30, but the bouts persist every couple of months, and the landlord refuses to address the issue. *At 12:15 p.m. a pedestrian was accidentally hit by a car in the parking lot of the Outreach Foods in the 100 block of S. Caves Avenue. She was transported to Three Rivers Community Hospital in Grants Pass. *A Rav4 Toyota was broken into between 3:30 and 7 a.m. in the 500 block of W. River Street. Numerous items were reportedly stolen, including a leather wallet with $150 cash and all contents, two black iPods, a backpack with baseball gloves, chargers and a watch. A black LCP Ruger-380 valued at $275 and a black 22 LR Ruger, worth $460, were also listed as missing. A report was filed for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and first-degree theft. *JCSO checked Jubilee Park at 1:24 p.m. *Two purses were reported as stolen from a 2006 Ford pickup truck in the 27900 block of Redwood Hwy. The incident occurred on Sept. 5 between 4:15 and 6 p.m. Video surveillance footage from the parking lot of the Greats Cat World Park was reviewed, but inconclusive. The banks were notified of the credit cards thefts. *For the past month, two people have been sneaking through property in the 600 block of Frederick Court late at night and early in the morning. The sly guy was described as 5-foot-9, with dark-brown hair and a full, but clean-cut beard, and he was accompanied by a chunky-looking blonde. The neighbor was worried for their safety, since there is a nearby marijuana grow. And we all know how dangerous marijuana is. *A helpful deputy rendered assistance to a damsel in distress with a flat tire on Redwood Hwy. at Hanby Lane at 3:02 p.m. *Investigation continued in the 900 block of Caves Hwy. at 4:09 p.m. *Everything was peaceful at Forks State Park at 5:17 p.m. Outside the Valley *Twenty-eight situations. Wednesday, Sept. 14 *There was an unoccupied red Pontiac Grand Am at MP 21 of Hwy. 199 at 10:18 a.m. *JCSO interviewed a person at 12:30 p.m. in the 200 block of W. Lister Street. *Law enforcement and Illinois Valley Fire District medical teams dealt with a gal claiming she had undisclosed health issues at S. Junction Avenue and Terrace Drive at 1:05 p.m. Her tattoos matched the description of Jamie Newberry; she was detained at Josephine County Jail on a warrant and for possession of meth. *A rider was warned for failure to signal in the 100 block of Caves Hwy. at 1:26 p.m. *Facts were obtained in the 200 block of N. Redwood Hwy. at 2:14 p.m. *Everything was mellow at 4:20 p.m. at the Forks State Park. *JCSO talked with folks behind the Department of Motor Vehicles in the 100 block of S. Kerby Avenue at 4:25 p.m. *Just a case of mistaken identity at 5:13 p.m. in the 24800 block of Redwood Hwy. Outside the Valley *Twenty-two entries. a.m. Not long after that, Derek Hood was detained in Josephine County Jail on a warrant. *A JCSO deputy was in the 1800 block of Happy Camp Road at 11:01 a.m. *At 1:47 p.m. a blond dude with no shirt and long tan shorts was yelling at people at 213 S. Redwood Hwy. The belligerent bloke threatened folks at the Dairy Queen drive- through, then he headed to the Sportsman Tavern to refuel. *A building in the 2400 block of Westside Road was inspected and secured at 2:28 p.m. *At 3:55 p.m. an anxious aunt was transporting her highly-intoxicated niece from Crescent City, California to the airport in Portland. The guardian was requesting assistance from Oregon State Police (OSP) because the drunken 22-year-old refused to budge until she had finished her bottle of alcohol. The Alaskan native was then ready to fly back home. *There was a 911-call from Lorna Byrne Middle School at 101 S. Junction Avenue at 4:14 p.m., but there was no response on the open line. A deputy contacted a football coach, who relayed that there were after-school activities, but no signs of any problems. *The driver of a gray Volkswagen was cited for speeding and careless driving at 5:23 p.m. on Redwood Hwy. at Kerby Mainline Road. He was also warned for improper lane change and failure to carry registration. Outside the Valley *Twenty-five incidents.
