Boys & Girls Club director Illinois Valley Boys & Girls Club ended its sum- mer program with a splash. For the ‘Clubs’ last day we invited our buddies from the Grants Pass Boys & Girls Club out for a soft- ball game, which they won, and a Taylor’s Sau- sage hot dog feast. There were approximately 40 teen-agers involved in the game, along with some very helpful staff from Grants Pass. After the big game everyone headed over to the Cave Junction Pool for a cool down. The Illinois Valley Community Response Team provided a $300 grant to the pool for club members to swim for free. During the pool time the Pepsi ‘Mug Bug’ showed up with 90 gallons of root beer.
