Illinois Valley Boys &
Girls Club ended its sum-
mer program with a splash.
For the ‘Clubs’ last
day we invited our buddies
from the Grants Pass Boys
& Girls Club out for a soft-
ball game, which they
won, and a Taylor’s Sau-
sage hot dog feast. There
were approximately 40
teen-agers involved in the
game, along with some
very helpful staff from
Grants Pass.
After the big game
everyone headed over to
the Cave Junction Pool for
a cool down.
The Illinois Valley
Community Response
Team provided a $300
grant to the pool for club
members to swim for free.
During the pool time the
Pepsi ‘Mug Bug’ showed
up with 90 gallons of root
beer.
Throughout the swim
