Ruby Moon: Community Health Director “I am proud to be the Community Health Director. I have watched our department grow immensely over the past two years, essentially our team has doubled allowing for increased programming. I work with the best people. Everyone on the team is intelligent, committed and caring. We all are working towards a common goal, to encourage health and wellness throughout our community.” Amy Garrett: Community Health Advocate “I’m grateful to be acting as CHA I in the Siletz Area. I’m motivated to help others on their wellness journey; as I’ve been helped in my own life. We all need a little assistance now and then; and its okay to ask for the support you need! Call me and I’ll help you take the next steps toward your personal wellness – whether that’s helping you under- standing benefits, transportation to specialist appointments or a home visit to discuss health/safety concerns.” Corey Strong: Tobacco Prevention Coordinator “Growing up in a small community and getting introduced to tobacco at a young age, I want to use my knowledge and experience to help others. I am a former smoker and used tobacco products for nearly 14 years. I have been smoke free now for over 10 years, and living a healthier way of life has become my new passion. I look forward to working with the community and starting my new adventure.” Jenifer Metcalf: Harm Reduction Outreach Specialist “Most of you know who I am. I am currently in a different department with the Siletz Tribe. I have a combi- nation of 12 plus years in Substance Abuse Prevention, Case Management, and Peer Recovery Counseling. The new position I serve is called Harm Reduction Outreach Specialist. This position will focus on hard- to-reach individuals who are at risk for HIV/STIs. The geographical location for me is Siletz only. I will be mapping out where the homeless camps are and navigating a way to assist them with resources as well as reducing the risk of HIV/STIs. Our purpose: To end new HIV cases in Oregon.” Kim Lane: CARE Program Coordinator “I am a graduate of PSU’s Child and Family Studies program. I have been with the CARE Program for almost 3 years. I travel our 11 county service area providing direct services to survivors. I spend my self -care time with my husband, playing board games & reading.“ Kira Woosley: CARE Program Outreach “I have been with the CARE Program for the last three years. I love working with Siletz youth, learning about healthy relationships, respect and self confidence. I am grateful for the opportunity I have to work with survivors of trauma in support groups and community wellness activities.” Delina John: Sexual Assault Advocate “After serving with gratitude for the last 15 years in the Behavioral Health program I made the decision to move from being a Substance Abuse Counselor to the new Sexual Assault Advocate for the CARE Program, I have always had a passion to work with women, help- ing them in their journey of healing, I am blessed to have this opportunity to learn new and great ways to be Trauma In- formed, so that I may best serve all that I come in contact with. I am thankful to my Tribe for allowing me to serve in the capacity that I have, thank you! If you know of anyone that needs our sup- port, please let them know, We are here!” Heather Butler: Domestic Violence Advocate “My name is Heather Butler. I am Happily married to my Husband Reggie Butler, JR. and we have 7 children and 2 grandchildren. I started working with the CARE program, May 22, 2017 as the Domestic Violence Advocate.” Angela Martin: Transportation Coordinator “I am a Siletz Tribal Member who has been blessed with the opportunities of serving my Tribe over 20 years in different departments. Since I became part of the Community Health Team I have quit smoking tobacco and am on a new path towards being healthy. Currently I am your Community Health Transporter Coordinator who schedules your last resort medical transport.” Judy Johnson: Transporter “I have been a transporter for Community Health for almost eight years.
