Comedy show creator Davis returns Lewis gives solo acoustic concerts to lead trio at Comedy on the Coast for casino’s 16th anniversary weekend Kenny Bob Davis returns to the coast, accompanied by Rick Pulido and Tim Haldeman, for two nights of comedy on June 10-11. Davis is a Com edy on the Coast favorite and creator of the popular show now in its eighth year. Davis began as a ’60s guitar-playing folk singer and surfer. In the past 28 years, he has headlined all over the United States Kenny Bob Davis as a solo stand-up comedian or a one-man corporate show man. He is a regularly invited USO per former for our military men and women aboard several aircraft carriers at sea and for our U.S. Marines in the field (Davis is a veteran USMC corpsman). His film and TV productions include Gremlins, ER, Zach & Cody, Sisters, Murder She Wrote and as Bing Micro soft’s Santa, to name a few. Pulido is an energetic, creative and profound comedian. He uses his Spanish and Texas accents to catch his audiences off guard. His misuse of the English language and questioning nature make audiences laugh and he will leave you mentally and physically exhausted from that laughter. Pulido’s most recent accomplish ment is his appear ance in the 2008 feature film In the Eyes of a Killer. Haldeman stumbled onto his comedy career when he had to fill in as the open ing comedian at a charity golf tourna ment. His proudest moment in stand up came as part of a USO show on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis for the more than 5,000 men and women as they returned from more than six months in the Arabian Sea on the mission Endur ing Freedom. As an actor, you have seen Halde man in more than 130 TV shows and movies as well as in more than 150 com mercials. You saw him play Elliot Blair in Universal’s Dante’s Peak as well as in guest starring roles on several hit TV shows, including The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, ER, Cold Case and a recurring role on The Drew Carey Show. Show time is 8 p.m. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. with a no-host bar for this age- 21 -and-older event. Tickets are $15. Aaron Lewis, lead vocalist of the hit band Staind, is bringing his solo acoustic tour to Chinook Winds Casino Resort on June 24-25. Lewis sings with a soulful sound that gets to the heart of the audience with his solo acoustic tour. He will perform chart-topping country songs, including the singles 75 and The Story Never Ends. Cake will be served in the casino lobby on June 25 from 1 p.m. until it’s gone to celebrate the 16th anniversary of the casino’s opening. Additionally, the largest fireworks display Chinook Winds has ever hosted starts at 10:15 p.m. Lewis has been performing solo acoustic shows since he was 17. He has written and performed several songs that never have been officially released, such as Angel, Something Like Me, Anywhere But Here and Sleeping at the Wheel. In July 2010, Lewis finished record ing a country music album entitled Town Line that was released March 1, 2011. It features seven tracks, including three versions of the first single, Country Boy, Aaron Lewis featuring George Jones, Charlie Daniels and Chris Young.
