Comedy show creator Davis returns Lewis gives solo acoustic concerts
to lead trio at Comedy on the Coast for casino’s 16th anniversary weekend
Kenny Bob Davis
returns to the coast,
accompanied by
Rick Pulido and Tim
Haldeman, for two
nights of comedy on
June 10-11.
Davis is a Com
edy on the Coast
favorite and creator
of the popular show
now in its eighth year.
Davis began as
a ’60s guitar-playing
folk singer and surfer.
In the past 28 years,
he has headlined all
over the United States
Kenny Bob Davis
as a solo stand-up
comedian or a one-man corporate show
man. He is a regularly invited USO per
former for our military men and women
aboard several aircraft carriers at sea and
for our U.S. Marines in the field (Davis
is a veteran USMC corpsman).
His film and TV productions include
Gremlins, ER, Zach & Cody, Sisters,
Murder She Wrote and as Bing Micro
soft’s Santa, to name a few.
Pulido is an energetic, creative and
profound comedian. He uses his Spanish
and Texas accents to catch his audiences
off guard. His misuse of the English
language and questioning nature make
audiences laugh and he will leave you
mentally and physically exhausted from
that laughter.
Pulido’s most
recent accomplish
ment is his appear
ance in the 2008
feature film In the
Eyes of a Killer.
Haldeman
stumbled onto his
comedy career
when he had to
fill in as the open
ing comedian at a
charity golf tourna
ment. His proudest
moment in stand
up came as part of
a USO show on the
flight deck of the
aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis for the
more than 5,000 men and women as
they returned from more than six months
in the Arabian Sea on the mission Endur
ing Freedom.
As an actor, you have seen Halde
man in more than 130 TV shows and
movies as well as in more than 150 com
mercials. You saw him play Elliot Blair
in Universal’s Dante’s Peak as well as
in guest starring roles on several hit TV
shows, including The Suite Life of Zack
and Cody, ER, Cold Case and a recurring
role on The Drew Carey Show.
Show time is 8 p.m. Doors open at
7:30 p.m. with a no-host bar for this age-
21 -and-older event. Tickets are $15.
Aaron Lewis, lead vocalist of the hit
band Staind, is bringing his solo acoustic
tour to Chinook Winds Casino Resort on
June 24-25.
Lewis sings with a soulful sound
that gets to the heart of the audience with
his solo acoustic tour. He will perform
chart-topping country songs, including
the singles 75 and The Story Never Ends.
Cake will be served in the casino
lobby on June 25 from 1 p.m. until it’s
gone to celebrate the 16th anniversary of
the casino’s opening. Additionally, the
largest fireworks display Chinook Winds
has ever hosted starts at 10:15 p.m.
Lewis has been performing solo
acoustic shows since he was 17. He has
written and performed several songs that
never have been officially released, such
as Angel, Something Like Me, Anywhere
But Here and Sleeping at the Wheel.
In July 2010, Lewis finished record
ing a country music album entitled Town
Line that was released March 1, 2011.
It features seven tracks, including three
versions of the first single, Country Boy,
Aaron Lewis
featuring George Jones, Charlie Daniels
and Chris Young.
Show time is 8 p.m. Tickets range
from $15 to $30.
