A bald eagle takes flight (right) after landing in a tree and checking out potential food sources (left) on a cold but sunny afternoon in March. The tree is on the banks of the Siletz River across from the Tribal administration building in Siletz. Logan Butler competes at the OSAA State Wrestling Championships. Butler finishes season by competing in state wrestling tournament What an amazing experience our boy had at the 2011 state wrestling champion ships at Memorial Coliseum in Portland, Ore., in late February. He started off winning his first match 10-1 and continued with two more matches the next day. His final match went into triple overtime with his opponent taking the win and Logan unfortunately not qualifying to place. We have an exuberant amount of joy in our hearts as Logan had a season some freshmen do not achieve. He went 25-3 overall at 112 pounds, took first at a tourna ment for all 1A schools in Lowell, Ore., and first at district, which sent him to state where he finished 1-2. Not only his dedication, heart and hard work but his attitude, sportsmanship and “teammanship” are those of a champion athlete! If you happen to see Logan, please shake his hand and congratulate him on a job well done! Jocelyn Hernandez is intrigued by Elder Jean Garrett playing the piano and Richard Forster singing Christmas songs at the 2010 Title VI Elders Christmas Luncheon. The Elders want to thank Jean and Richard for the entertainment and Jocelyn for all her hard work and help during the luncheon. You Can Obtain Valuable Legal Services For Day!
