TRIBAL PROGRAM NEWS Adults, Youth Help Clean Up During Siletz Cleanup Day on May 19, a combination of adults and youth cleaned up Tolowa Court. Kathleen Van Pelt Forster, Tolowa Court area rep resentative, and her husband, Richard, were assisted by a work crew consist ing of Leslie Brown (age 8), Jarron Brown (7), Kyle Hall (3), and his brother, Hunter Hall (2). Equipped with garbage bags, rubber gloves and plenty of youthful energy, the volunteers hunted and captured loose papers, broken glass, aluminum cans and cigarette butts. Later, the Tolowa group met with others from the Siletz Housing Resident Organization for a barbecue lunch at the Tribal Com munity Center. Each youth volunteer received a $10 Wal-mart gift card for their par ticipation in Siletz Cleanup Day. 2007 Hunting and Fishing Tags The Natural Resources Committee has set and the Tribal Council has ap proved the following as the schedule and methods for distribution of this year's hunting and fishing tags to tribal members: Kathleen Van Pelt Forster with Siletz Cleanup Day crew members Leslie Brown and Kyle Hall Elders’ Council Meeting No meetings will be held in August or September. Date to Start Tag Issuance Estimated Number Available Salmon * No early calls to “save” a tag for someone. Must physically show up to obtain tag. A waiting list will be developed for the late-season hunt if all of the early-season tags are issued.
