Adults, Youth Help Clean Up
During Siletz Cleanup Day on May
19, a combination of adults and youth
cleaned up Tolowa Court. Kathleen
Van Pelt Forster, Tolowa Court area rep
resentative, and her husband, Richard,
were assisted by a work crew consist
ing of Leslie Brown (age 8), Jarron
Brown (7), Kyle Hall (3), and his
brother, Hunter Hall (2).
Equipped with garbage bags, rubber
gloves and plenty of youthful energy,
the volunteers hunted and captured
loose papers, broken glass, aluminum
cans and cigarette butts. Later, the
Tolowa group met with others from the
Siletz Housing Resident Organization
for a barbecue lunch at the Tribal Com
munity Center.
Each youth volunteer received a
$10 Wal-mart gift card for their par
ticipation in Siletz Cleanup Day.
