April is Alcohol Awareness Month Parents, grandparents, aunties, and uncles: For the last two years, the Siletz Tribal ATOD Prevention Team has been going to Siletz Valley School to bring awareness to students that it's impor tant to not engage in unhealthy behav iors and that living an alcohol, tobacco, and other drug-free lifestyle is good! This year, our theme was “Plant ing the Promise to Fence Out Drugs.” With the help of high school youth, we had each class in the entire school plant red tulips that should bloom in April for Alcohol Awareness Month. This is to re-affirm the message that being drug free is the way to be! So if you visit Siletz Valley School, be sure to look for the beautiful red tu lips that your youth took part in “Plant ing the Promise to Fence Out Drugs!” Nesika lllahee Pow-Wow Committee Members Needed h i k k’ kr’ hvm’-chi’ Ihin’ Ihuk k’wvt kr’ii-k’i (goodbye) (dog) (fish) (upon) (gravy) Please contact Mona Fisher if you are interested in joining the Pow-Wow Committee.
