Proposed Public Records Ordinance The Tribal Planning Department is exploring the possibility of developing a centralized information system that would enable both Siletz Tribal staff and Siletz Tribal members easier, more coordinated access to tribal data. Most tribal data is confidential and that will not be compromised. In addition to providing basic de mographic information that is key to effective tribal operations and plan ning. a comprehensive data collection program facilitates effective interaction with non-tribal data collectors and pro grams that provide services to tribal members, such as schools, transporta tion services, and medical services. We would like to know your views on this topic. Do you feel that a com prehensive data collection and report ing program would be of value to the Siletz Tribal community? What problems, if any. have you had accessing data from the Siletz Tribe? Have there been requests that could not be fulfilled? What would you like to have in the way of data that may not be available at this time? Please let me know. You can write to me at clairew@ctsi.nsn.us or Claire Wood. Data Coordinator. P.O. Box 549.
