Max, his son Max, and movie producer Richard Doyon were in Siletz in June to discuss their upcoming movie, Tillamook Treasure. The movie will be filmed in the Manzanita, Ore., area and also stars Floyd Red Crow Westerman. The movie is about a 14-year-old girl who moves to Oregon from California and investigates the legend of the treasure on Neah-Kah-Nie Mountain. Max, Max, and Richard visited with several elders at the community center who were making Indian dolls from blocks of wood and Pendleton blanket material.
