TRIBAL PROGRAM NEWS Tribe Donates $97,081 to Community The Siletz Tribal Charitable Contribution Fund made another round of distributions on May 8 at Chinook Winds Casino & Convention Center. Twenty-nine organizations shared $97,081.99 in contributions, including $28,512 for Toledo High School in Toledo, Ore., to help reopen its health clinic for the 2003-2004 school year. The tribe has honored its tradition of sharing within the community by distributing more than $1.6 million through the Siletz Tribal Charitable Contribution Fund and other tribal resources. Chinook Winds has donated more than $400,000 in cash and fund- raising items since it opened in 1995. The casino also provides in-kind donations of convention space for various fund-raisers as well as technical support, advertising, and manpower for many events.
