Every few weeks, Chinook Winds guests can find several new VLT slot games to play in various denominations. The most recent additions include 25-cent Magic 8 Ball; 25-cent Quarter Mania; $5 Wheel of Fortune; and six new types of 5-cent machines - American Bandstand, X Marks the Spot, Leprechaun Gold, Jackpot Stampede, Hot Toppings, and Crocodile Cash. Twelve participants per tournament session will play in a tournament lasting five minutes. Sessions will begin at 9 a.m. and will continue every 15 minutes. The player with the most points from each session will be entered into the final round of 12 players at noon. The total $1,000 prize money will be divided among eight winners who will receive from $20 to $250. Winner’s Circle members who are age 55 and older can sign up for the tournament beginning at 7 a.m. on the day of the tournament. Participation is limited to the first 144 players who sign up. May 26: Memorial Day Community Events As most of you already know, Chinook Winds and the Siletz Tribe do their part to help out the surround ing community. One area that’s not received due credit is the Bingo Department, Managed by tribal member Renee Metcalf, this department sponsors several Bingo Benefits throughout the year. In keeping with the tribal philosophy to “take care of our own,” three of the four benefits were held for individuals who work at the casino. The family of Norman Neil - to help the family with expenses after the tragic loss of a husband and father. Sylia Butler Fund-to help with the extreme expenses accrued through out the long healing period Sylvia has been forced to endure because of a major automobile accident. Nick Pintello Fund - to help Nick supplement all of the belongings he lost in a house fire. In addition, the Bingo Department has, for the past several years, taken donations of food and toys to make Christmas brighter for those in need in the community. April 2003 The Full Moon Slot Tournaments were such a howling success that they’re back. Celebrate the full moon at the Full Pink Moon Tourney on April 16. Entry begins at 1 a.m. Rounds take place every 20 minutes beginning at 1:20 and continuing until 3 a.m. The prize round will take place at 3:30 a.m. Between 3 a.m. and 3:30 a.m., a drawing will be held for all entrants who didn’t make it into the final round. The drawing winner will be eligible for a seventh available seat in the prize round. Entry is free with a Winner’s Circle card; first come, first play. Prizes will be awarded from first to sixth place, with a top prize of $500 and a total prize pool of $ 1,500 (may be adjusted). Winner’s Circle Free Slot Tourneys Winner’s Circle members can take part in a free slot tournament on April 16. Entry begins at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Rounds take place every 20 minutes beginning at 10:20 a.m. and 5:20 p.m. (10:20, 10:40, 11,11:20, 11:40, noon; and 5:20, 5:40, 6, 6:20, 6:40, and 7). The prize round will take place at 7:30 p.m. Entry is free with a Winner’s Circle card; first come, first play. The total prize pool of $2,800 (may be adjusted) will be paid out to the top 12 players as follows: first - $1,000, second - $500, third - $400, fourth - $300, fifth - $200, sixth - $100, seventh through 12th - $50 each. Employees are not eligible to enter.
