Employees Contribute to Local Community Chinook Winds’ employees rolled up their sleeves and opened their hearts to the community this holiday season. When the call was sent out for food and gifts for those in need, the staff came through in a really big way. More than 80 children under the care of the Lincoln County branch of the state office for Services to Children and Families received Christmas gifts donated by employees. Another 60 children received gifts that were given to fill the tags on a giving tree sponsored by the Native American Students Association. Lots of food - 1,200 pounds - was collected for the Lincoln City Food Pantry and the Bingo department sponsored five families who reside at My Sister’s Place, a local shelter that provides assistance to abused women and their children. General Manager Jim Kikumoto stated, “When it comes to the spirit of giving and community support, Chinook Winds staff rises to the occasion.” MemorabiliäShow Casino chips and memorabilia have become very popular on the collectibles market, so it’s perfect timing for the Northwest Casino Chip & Memorabilia Show, scheduled for March 9 and 10 at Chinook Winds.
