Blood Drive Sets Record Chinook Winds Casino & Convention Center held its fourth annual blood drive on July 12. The casino’s Human Resources Department organized and advertised the event in-house. As a result, 13 employees signed on to work as recruiters and nine volunteers offered to work with the American Red Cross during the blood drive. The drive was set up in the meeting rooms across from the convention center, which was hosting the Senior Fair. Employees could be seen entering and leaving the area at regular intervals throughout the day. At the end of the day, the Chinook Winds team had broken its record and surpassed its goal of 45 units by collecting 57 units of much-needed blood. Even family members of employees took part in the blood drive. Betty J. Donat (r) volunteered to help with the drive as well as donate blood.
