Special Election Set for July 28 Tribal Council has called a special election that will be held on July 28, 2000. You must be registered to vote to participate in this election. If you need to register to vote, please contact Lisa Norton at 1-800-922-1399, ext., 258, or 541-444-8258. If you prefer to vote in person, the election poll will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Siletz Tribal Community Center. An advisory vote regarding alcohol beverages served at Chinook Winds also will be included with the ballot voting on “Should Tribal Council members be eligible for fringe benefits?” Fringe benefits include FUTA, SUI, FICA, Workman’s Compensation, COHO benefits, dental insurance, disability insurance (short- and long-term), life insurance, and 401 (k) retirement. Enrollment News! by Lisa Norton Things are very busy in the Enrollment Department and I just wanted to remind everyone of a few important facts. In the interest of any future per capita payments, you must have a copy of your Social Security card in the Enrollment office. Per capita checks will not be released unless I have a copy of that card. Send them to CTSI, Attn: Enrollment, PO Box 549, Siletz, OR 97380. This must be a copy of the actual card. No substitutions will be accepted. Also, please remember that your name on your Social Security card must match your name on the roll. If you need to change your name on the tribal roll, please contact me. The list of missing moccasins is growing. You can find a current list on page 16. Please look it over. If you know the address of somebody on this list, please contact me or let him or her know. Important information cannot be mailed without a valid address for you.
