SIHA HOUSING REPORT By Connie Hoffman SIHA Executive Director limit of $ 1,000.00 is being set on the amount of emergency assistance that can be received by an individual in any 12-month period. Even though the program also limits the amount of assistance to one month’s rent, in the case of homeless persons who need temporary housing in addition to the first month’s rent, we felt this $1,000.00 limit was needed. Another clarification is that households with Tribal member children but not a Tribal member adult are eligible for emergency assistance We had hoped to get out to bid before Dec. 1 for the 21 homes that will be built on the west edge of Siletz. Due to some complications, we are now hoping to get out to bid in early December. We will be advertising in the Daily Journal of Commerce and our local paper here in Lincoln County. Interested contractors may contact our office for further details We want to alert you to a mailing that we will be doing to all Tribal adults within the next couple of weeks.
