The Haggart Observatory, the only public observatory in western Oregon, is open for public viewing on clear Saturday nights. The observa tory opens at dusk, and viewing begins at dark and continues for about three hours. A $3 dona tion is requested. Phi Theta Kappa, the honor society for two-year colleges, is having their Spring Term Induction Ceremony Tomor row. It starts at 6:30 p.m. in the Gregory forum. * Tom Wakeling will be direct ing a performance by the CCC Jazz Band in the Osterman Theatre on Wednesday, June 1 at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $5. Music by John Coltrane, ASG is sponsoring a batle of the bands this Saturday, May 14 from 4-7:30 p.m. that will take place in the amphitheatre in front of the library, unless weather is bad, in which case it will take place in Gregory Forum. The $3 admission includes free barbecue. but donations are appreciated. Lonnie Cline will be directing a Friday, June 3 performance of Jazz, Fusion, Funk and Jazz-in fluenced pop music by the CCC Mainstream in the Osterman Theatre.
