Ingram enjoyed going back to school, and after receiving her GED at Clackamas in 1999, got involved on campus for the first time in her life. “Coming back is an opportu nity for me I thought I could never have. I missed out on all the high school activities like dances and cheerleading. I never experienced any of that,” said Ingram. “When I came to college, all these doors were opening up. 1 wanted to expe rience it at least once so I can say I did it.” Soon Ingram joined Student Government, which gave her the opportunity to gain leader ship experience, learn how to communicate with people on all levels as well as attain lobby ing skills. “Once I was in there, I got hooked. I just love the people and there is so much I can gain from it,” stated Ingram. “Being involved with the campus helps me stay focused and be a more dedicated student.” Being elected the new ASG Vice President, Ingram has set goals for herself including sup porting the new President as much as she possibly can.
