The Lady Cougars won both ends of the twinbill, 2-0 and 5-1. The Lady Cougars take on Wenatchee Valley College in the first game of the NWAACC Tournament Saturday at Delta Park in North Portland. FRANKJORDAN Sports Editor The Lady Cougars softball team finished third in the NWAACC's Southern Division, qualifying them for the league championship tour nament to be held this weekend at Delta Park in North Portland. Clackamas finished up the regu lar season by losing to Southwest ern Oregon CC in a doubleheader last Tuesday in Coos Bay by scores of 6-4 and 6-5. On Friday, the Cougars took on Centralia CC on the Clackamas dia mond. The Cougars turned back their opponent in both ends of the doubleheader by scores of 2-0 and 5-1. A scheduled doubleheader with Pierce College on Saturday at home was cancelled due to scheduling conflicts. Clackamas was awarded two wins by forfeit. These two games were the final games on the CCC regular season schedule. The NWAACC Tournament, hosted by Clackamas CC, takes place this Saturday and Sunday, May 19-20, at the Delta Park soft?, ball complex in North Portland. The 22-game double-elimination tour nament begins at 9 a.m. on Satur day with the Southern Division #3 seed Clackamas taking on the East ern Division #4 seed Wenatchee Valley. Play continues throughout the day on five different fields located inside the Delta Park complex. Joining Clackamas from the Southern Division of the NWAACC are #1 seed Lower Co lumbia, #2 seed Chemeketa and #4 seed Mt. Hood. If Clackamas wins their first game on Saturday, they will take on the Northern Division #1 seed Edmonds CC at 11:30 a.m. If the Lady Cougars lose the first game, they will play a loser-out game against either Green River, Big Bend or Lower Columbia at 2 p.m. Saturday.
