Madame Rosepettie (Ellie Schwartz) shows her disgust with the hotel service while her son Jonathan (Jason Morrill) hides in the corner. 2. Jonathan, who doesn’t get out Hrl much, is excited to look through S his book collection. V m | 3' Rosal'e (Sarah Rose) comes to I visit Jonathan after his mother invites her up. I 4. Rosalie tries to kiss Jonathan, I but he is afraid his mother will catch them. k 5. Rosalie, after sneaking her I way into Madame Rosepettie's prjvgte room tries to coax Jonathan onto the bed. 6. Commodore (David Shanor) becomes trapped at dinner with I the eccentric Madame Rosepettie. I 7. Head bellboy (Samantha I Tennyson ) and Bellboy #4 I (Gerred Pelsey) move the coffin, I with Mr. Rosepettie's stuffed I body inside, to Madame I Rosepettie's room. I 8. The head bellboy listens to N Madame Rosepettie's tragic story I with little interst. JASON LINGEL Sports Editor Oh Dad, Poor Dad, Mamma's Hung You in the Closet and I’m Feelin' So Sad, a three act com edy by Arthur Kopit and put on by the Clackamas Community Col lege Communications and Theatre Department, will open tomorrow at 8 p.m. Set at a lavish hotel in Port Royal, a city somewhere in the Caribbean, the play is a zany mix of sex, vio lence and intrigue. Ellie Schwartz plays Madame Rosepcttle who is an eccentric, over protective mother. Schwartz has had experience in commercials and has played in an episode of The Parkers. Originally from Idaho, Schwartz moved to Los Angeles to start her acting career. According to Schwartz, she came to Portland following a love inter est and is happy she made the move. “I haven’t been in an education environment for a long time,” said Schwartz. “It’s nice to come back after being in professional work where everyone is learning.” The play also stars Jason Morrill playing Jonathan, Madame Rosepettie’s son who has prob lems coping with his sheltered life; SaTfih Rose as Rosalie, a promis cuous girl who’s intent on remov ing Jonathan from his incarcera tion; and David Shanor as Commadore Roseabove, who may have lost his heart to Madame Rosepettie. Erin Adkisson and Stephie Cotton play the Venus Flytraps. Chris Whitten designed the set and Alva Bradford did costume design. “I have a great cast-,” said Guest Director John Arthur Renner. Renner, a former Clackamas stu dent, is substituting for David Smith-English who was out due to knee surgery. “I’ve directed six one acts. This is my first full length,” said Renner.
