After defeating Portland Com munity College 100-83 last Wednesday, and dismantling Linn- Benton 100-75 at home Saturday, Clackamas claimed the Southern Division title and a first place seed with a 86-73 win over Lane Com munity College. Both Lane and Clackamas had 12-2 league records going into Monday’s playoff bout for first place in the NWAACC Southern Division. Also at stake were seeds in the NWAACC championship. A loss would have put the Cou gars in the same bracket as Edmonds, who leads the North Division and Tacoma, the West ern Division leaders. Now Lane will play these two teams to ad vance and Clackamas should have an easier time as they match up with teams in the Eastern Division. “We played very well. We came out with the most energy and in- tensity. I think we are the best team See Cougar, page 7 DARREL HOBSON I Clackamas Print The Men 's basketball team is number one in the Southern Region after defeating Lane Community College at home, Monday.
