H he CI ac I< amas P rìnt 3 Opinion ______Student Poll_____ Question: What expectations do you have for the ASG president? “They should work to try to improve the col lege. Maybe try to find out what students are lacking or needing. They should tty to improve our environment, better learning environment. He could try to organize activities for students to get together and get to know each other.” Ben Reddaway, student ◄ “I’d like to see clubs at better times of the day so that they can fit into your schedule. I’d like to see more sports type of things, activities where you are out and about, where you could just hang out with people.” Emily Baldwin, student “I would expect an ASG president to do his job, I guess. Support the students. I think it’s really good, programs like intramural sports and stuff like that.” Katie Knudson, student “Pretty much the only thing that basically bugs me on campus is the price of books and stuff.. This is a very nice campus and they take really good care of it, but that’s basically the only thing that affects me right now, the price of books.” Matt Knight, student “Sonijeone that is,a leader and will fight for students' rights. Someone who will take time out of their schedule to be involved with stu dents. Someone that just enjoys going to school and the environment that is there.” Rashael Phipps, student “A person that is a leader and who knows basically what they’re doing, knows how to interact with people and can basically be the leader of the school.” Cami Humpfrey, student “I’d like them to represent the student body itself, not anybody else coming in and telling them what to do. I think that’s the most important, as far as the students go, because they’re the ones paying for the school... .Pretty much every thing looks real nice, I don’t think I can see any improve ments that need to be made.” Joe Conrad, student Because your health is important... He’s got to be visible, dedicated...! expect 100% dedication to the students, to the college, to upholding the college values.. .Student government is basically a liaison between the students and the college itself as an institution, and I believe that... .As a student body president you are, the primary voice, you are the one who represents them as an entirety.. .and I want to be a friend because that’s what it all boils down to. If a student body president doesn’t have any heart and any true dedication and it’s simply just something to put on a resume, then they’re not going to be good for it. They’ve got to-have true heart and passion for it.” David LeDoux, student running for ASG president Pald fôrbv the Centers for Disease Contre! and Prévention and the Siisan G.
