f Cougar runners undaunted by bad weather By Rodney Fobert Of The Print Wind and rain may stop some people, but not the Clackamas cross country team. Not even the wet weather could dampen the spirits of the Cougar runners. On Oct. 6, the cross country team attended a big meet at Willamette University. Nearly 200 runners competed in the event. Finishing first for the Cougars was Jim Hogue in 25th place. Jim had a time of 25:27 on the 8,000 meter course. Close behind were Rob Durkee, in 28th place, and Mark Allen in 29th place, with times of 25:30 and 24:31, respectively. Next in for the Cougars was Jeff Darling in 117th place followed by newcomer, Henry Palacious in 181st place. Remaining Clackamas run ners were Bob Myers in 54th place, Tom Hermanson in 76th place and Lawrence Owen finishing in 82nd.
