She did not in on a ticket with other candidates. She elieves her experience would speak for it* elf. Kline’s independence is also an impor- ant factor. We think this gives her a chance o clearly think of what is best for this osition and not what is best for the “team” ampaign. v. We found Kline to be very aware of tudent activities and issues. She serves on liverse committees and spends her time [ell. Her experience in ASG and these ommittees could have a strong bearing on ext year’s activities. Another plus in Kline’s favor is being able o see what has not been done in ASG in the ast, even though she was a part of it. She hinks that senators and officers should get ack to their basic jobs and learn them. In our opinion, there is always room for mprovement of any organization. We feel onfident that Kline will get the job done. i g Business manager legislative update j In searching for an endorsement for the ■ iffice of business manager we found two ; 'ery qualified candidates. We think either : Ion Allen or Darren MacFarlane would be a • pod choice for this budgetry office. We found Allen to be very businesslike I ■ ind very formal with his dealings of student ¡i ssues. He believes in what students want,; lot what the Associated Student Gover- ; iment thinks they need. He has an exten* : ive background in business and we think ; A e could handle the ASG budget well, : aking note of the smallest details. Allen also has a good idea concerning in* olvement on the ways and means commit* ee. MacFarlane’s manner is not as polished s Alien’s, but his enthusiasm makes up for L He also has a strong background in usiness. Mac Farlane thinks ASG has a ack of diversity.
