A member of the Grant Stu dent Council is one of great pride and honor. In running for assistant treasurer I feel that I could contribute some new ideas, and would be eager and willing to participate fully in all the responsibilities of the assistant treasurer.—Susan Pendergrass I feel the best way to interest girls is to spread the idea of how much fun Girls’ league really is. As GL president, I would be responsible for organizing fun projects and activities that would give every girl a chance to participate and become in volved. —Karen Stone I am running for the office of assistant treasurer because I think it would be a good oppor tunity to work for the student body. I am interested in learn ing more about leadership and I think the experience of being an assistant treasurer would be beneficial. —Marianne Peel Showing pride in my school goes much further than attend ing football games, participating as Senior Choir treasurer and General Council member, and being active in forensics. From The success of Girls’ league lies in the participation of each and every girl. To get the girls’ interest, new, creative and va ried activities must be offered. Meetings and activities should be well publicized, both in the announcements and on the bul letin board. Most important, girls must be made aware of the existence of Girls’ league and the role it plays in their lives. —Sandi Gassner Robert LeMarte these things I have benefited. Now I feel it is time for me to do something for the rest of the student body. —Robert Le Marte I hope to find interesting as well as worthwhile projects for projects that will include all girls. And I hope all girls will give Girls’ league a chance to bring these projects to Grant girls. Past experience in an outside youth organization for a year as secretary and the present Span ish National Honor society sec retary are my chief qualifica tions. How will you fulfill them? The duties of the service rep resentative include taking charge of the announcement board in center hall, the calendar in the activities office, and the cafe teria. If I were service rep, I would keep the announcement board and calendar up to date and take charge of programs to keep the cafeteria clean. —Vicki Brocksen Of the nebulbus jobs of serv ice representative, the most im perative duties include main taining the announcement board and activities calendar. He is also responsible for the necessity of cleaning Grant’s campus of outline important duties of job What do you consider the most important task of the athletic representative? The athletic representative’s job, as I see it, is probably the least important Executive Coun cil job. I think the importance of the office is that of holding a seat on Executive Council and having a say in the student af fairs at Grant, as I feel there are many improvements to be made. —Francis Kessler It is the representative’s duty to bring to the (Student Body’s attention notabl4»4iappenings in the sports at Grant. —Mike Dunn To bring to the student body events of our athletes. Getting the student body actively inter ested in all sports and go to the games and matches. Because, after all, athletics should never end in only athletic participa tion. —Barry Emard The most important task of athletic rep is informing the student body what is going on in all levels of sports from frosh to varsity. By informing the student body I would do it by announcing in assemblies, and -putting events that we are doing in sports in the announcements. I feel the past athletic reps have not informed the student body about sports that were going on sufficiently. —Leonard Balk
