He said in part, "The papers are pretty late coming in hut it's still news to me and I really enjoy them. Now I can keep up on things back in Oregon. I sure miss Cottage Grove and all the friendly people. I’ve lx-en do ing a lot of sign painting. ... I sfient only three days on skis so far. I’m doing pretty good for a beginner and really enjoy that sort of training. I saw several more moose so altogether I've seen ll. Was about 50 feet from one big hull moose that had only one antler.
