Watson of Eugene was guest speaker at the monthly meeting of the P. D. G- Garden club held Friday in the grove of Mrs. A. I McLean Mrs Wataon, who is district director of Lane and Douglas counties garden clubs, spoke to the group on •‘Peony Culture." Other guests at the 1:30 des sert course and meeting were Mrs. Casady and Mrs. Burell, also of Eugene, and Mrs. William Bachelder. Mrs. McLean, presi dent of the club, presided over the business meeting, and Mrs. H. K Brumfield presented the lesson on "Pruning of Roses." In the evening the members were joined by their families for Xa picnic dinner Drain Couple FFed At Local Church The Gibbs Avenue Church of Christ was decorated with white gladioli on July 31 for the wedding of Miss Helen Randolph to lx*Roy Morrison, both of Drain. The ceremony was read at 11 am by Paul J. Lubbers, a s^ -ia te minis ter of the church. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Merle Randolph of DTain, while parents of the bridegroom are Mr and Mrs. Merlin Morrison of Smith River route. Drain. The bride was given in mar- t iage by her father. Her dress was of white nyten net over white satin. Her elbow-length nylon net veil was held in place with a head- piece of white roses and orange blossoms She carried white glad ioli tied with white net and satin ribbon. The couple was attended by Miss Mabie Randolph of Drain, sister of the bride, as maid of honor, and Elon Cooper, cousin of the bride, as best man.
