Walters was First Team All League last season as an outside hit- ter and Everett was Second Team All League. “Jordan really likes to lead by example and works really hard in prac- tice and Joyce is more vocal and our leader out on the court,” says Williams. Freshmen Nita Cook and Brook- lyn Walters will add some depth on the outside offensively and should see a lot of court time. “Neither of them has hurt us as freshman and both are really start- ing to do some good things to help the team when they are playing,” says Wil- liams. Junior Lauren Ely will play in the middle of the front line, and will ro- tate with senior Karrah DeLemos. Ju- nior Abby Coleman may play libero and play some on the back row and may also play as an outside hitter. “Abby is just a stable player and is always somebody I can count on,” says Williams. Jordan Walters and Cook will rotate through and join Coleman on the back line, as will Brooklyn Walters. Ju- nior Jessica Butcher will use a strong serve and may see some time in the backcourt. The team was 3-1 in the open- ing Jamboree on August 23, finished 3 rd out of 12 teams at the Warrenton Tour- nament with a 2-1 record, and then de- feated Sheridan, Amity, and Colton.
