18 in other words may1 2014 Your Horoscope for May 2014 By Stacey Lynn Focus on finances are in every sign. Libra, May is a huge month related to your future. Aquarius and Pisces have many changes coming. May 2014 is a month to pay attention for everyone. Taurus (April 20-May 20) Keep a steady pace this month and try not to overreach. If you are working for someone, you may receive a promotion. Travel could be in the cards, and if it is for business, it will be profitable. Seeking love and approval charms people around you, but you want more. There may well be changes happening to your personal goals. Others may rely on you for more than money or status. Gemini (May 21-June 20) Something secret is occurring and the past is activated. Contemplate, study, and reconsider everything by yourself right now. Consider how you allocate your time, but tell others so they do not feel neglected. Finances may be tight so stay in with a nice meal rather than spending elsewhere. Communicating with others is always important, but may be more so during this May 2014. may need to take a nature break. Plant, pull weeds, and breathe. Cancer (June 21-July 22) The year 2014 looks to be a great year career wise for Cancer. Direct your energy toward your job during May. You will enjoy success not only in May, but the months to come. You will discover new depths to relationships, trust, and understanding. A vacation with a loved one could be really beneficial for you right now. Do your best to keep your money in your own pocket this month. Libra (September 23-October 22) Stay away from and remove any messy relationships. Your motto should be ‘persistence beats resistance.’ You are in charge of your world and need to take advantage of all of the opportunities which are coming your way. Open your senses and trust your intuition. Listen to your inner voice. Beauty is very important right now. This is the start of something. Go for it Libra! Leo (July 23-August 22) Many opportunities are coming your way this month. You will have to look for them as they will benefit you long term. Single Leo may have someone special enter their life. Be patient and focus. Your path in life changes this year. Think on what future you want. You have a hand in your creation. Be careful when operating anything motorized. Your head may be in the clouds due to changes. Scorpio (October 23-November 21) This is a hectic month for you. Too many parties and too little time. Do the best you can in all commitments. The desire for a closer relationship with your mate is on your mind. Act disciplined. Wide-open communication is needed for issues that require compromise. Pisces (February 19-March 20) It is time to be intellectual and stop yourself from drifting into dreamland. Make sure you dress very well. Important people will be watching, listening, and assessing you. This is a valuable period in your life so take a lot of care with appearance. This will take you to the next step in where you wish to go for your future. Think intelligence and grace. Exercise in nature to relieve stress. Aries (March 21-April 19) What are your values, Aries? This is a time of deep thought on that subject. Love and relationships will be on the forefront. Past experiences may keep you from moving forward in love and work. Help with Groceries Oregon Food Bank received increased USDA-TEFAP Eligibility guidelines which allow more help for households with groceries. The new gross income guideline for a one-person household is $1,799 with $626 for each additional member. Vernonia Cares Food Bank (VCFB), located at 627 Adams Avenue, is open Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM. Any questions may be answered by calling the food bank’s phone, 503-429-1414. If not open, leave a message and your call will be returned as soon as possible. Registration requires about ten minutes, as clients present proof of address and list how many people are in their household. They sign a document stating they fall within the target income eligibility guidelines. The goal of VCFB is to provide, on a monthly basis, three days’ worth of emergency groceries.
