Otak and Lyda meet at least weekly to measure progress and assess problems to keep us on sched- ule. continued on page 6 Summer Reading Program Kicks off with Compost and Crafts The Vernonia Library Summer Reading Program started on June 17th. This year’s theme is “Dig into Reading.” Along with stories, coloring and crafts, the kids also had a chance to learn about composting. Other events this year include a Movie Matinee on June 22nd at 2:00 PM, Lego Club on June 27th from 3:45-4:45 PM and a Dinosaur program on July 2nd from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. There are also sev- eral evening programs being planned.
