It was discovered the aircraft was actually a Cessna 180 airplane. In his attempt to land the plane at the airport, with no power, Taylor landed in the fi eld east of the runway. Taylor suffered a small cut on the top of his right hand, which was the only reported injury at the scene. Control of the crash site was eventually turned over to the FAA for fur- ther investigation. The duo used a swather to cut a path from the road to the crash scene and provided the use of a UTV for the occupants of the plane to recover their property.
