Not surprisingly, Mult nomah County and the City o f Portland both ranked at the top o f Oregon’s regions for same-sex couples and couples per 1,000 households. The county logged 5,897 same- sex couples, with 19.36 per 1,000 house holds, and Portland counted 5,446 same-sex couples, with 21.91 per 1,000 households.
