Registration is first come, first served and is $40 per team, $10 each additional player for up to five players total. The first-place winner receives a prize and their names in the Fighting Fillies game program. Mississippi) kicks off an LGBTQ^film screening series Friday, April 1 with Katie Turinski’s look at one of Portland’s most notorious drag-art perfor mance troupes in Sissyhoy. The documentary garnered official selection screenings at the 2009 SXSW Film Festival and the 2009 Portland Lesbian and Gay Film Festival. Turinski will be on hand for a Q_and A following the screening—the first installment of a series taking place every Friday at Q_ Center from 7 to 10 p.m. There will be a $5- $10 suggested donation at the door, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds. SMYRC is looking for donations of can vas, clay, acrylic paint, watercolors and water- color paper and anything else folks can spare. Submissions will be assessed by 100th Mon key Studios under the theme of how SMYRC has affected people’s lives, though queer youth art on any topic is welcome.
