It’s the ultim ate in hypocrisy to fight discrim ination only to practice it yourself. W h at m atters in a rela tionship is how you relate to the other person and w hether you enjoy sex w ith him. If you’re worried about who else he's attracted to, you’ve got bigger problems than “gay" or “hi"— there’s always someone cuter than you, no m atter what gender or genders your partner is attracted to. W hy is there so much emphasis put on someone’s sexual orientation? It is not right when the gay/lesbian community feels judged by their sexual orientation by the heterosexuals, and IT IS N O T RIG H T for anyone to judge the bisexual community, either. T he mere fact that someone acknowledges his or her attraction to the opposite sex should he seen as a step toward acceptance for the gay/lesbian community. I was in a long-term relationship with a bi girl who 1 adored. Unfor tunately for me, she liked to sleep with men behind my back. At one point she became preg nant. (I knew it wasn’t me.) I had hopes at the time of starting a family with her, regardless of her infidelities. She chose the father over me. It was an extremely gut- wrenching experience. I know logically that one woman shouldn’t affect my feelings toward oth ers, but it has. Be this as it may, love is love. I believe whoever is in power realizes that giving the peo ple religion was the biggest mistake they made. People are coming out of penitentiaries and off skid row realizing that a higher power is working miracles in their lives. Keep this up, and jails might have to close. Skid row might smell like flowers. W hat’s wrong with this picture? W hen people start to become financially free, the peo ple in power really don’t have control. This is the reason for taking religion not just out of our sch(x>ls but out of our culture. W hy the attack on the gay and lesbian com munity? If ymi’re not sleeping with me, why should I care? Money means power. If you have too much money, you could one day have too much power. T he people in power haven’t learned how to share that power. 1 would say the people in power are paranoid schizophrenics, and they are dangerous to society. Dillinger said: “M any gay and lesbian people, myself included, have identified as bisexual at one time or an o th er...in an attem pt to dip my toe in the water to gauge |my friends’) reaction to the idea that I may he attracted to men.
